The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Design Architect will be responsible for the design, growth, coordination and successful implementation of a global Public Key Infrastructure direction and program for GE. The program will include developing standards and solutions to better secure our environment and introduction of capabilities to support enterprise services.
Lead the collection of business requirements and the design / development of PKI solutions
Drive change and lead business adoption of standardized PKI services
Set and manage global architectural standards for GE’s PKI program
Partners with cross-business security architects, working groups, project teams and application owners to define requirements for and build PKI solutions which meet business objectives
Develop multi-generation project plans and roadmaps within the program space
Responsible for managing appropriate resources as necessary
Manages schedules and plans to ensure timely completion of project deliverables
Coordinates communications with internal and external teams
Provides issue resolution and L4 support as required
Ensures successful transition of project deliverables to support / maintenance / operations teams
Minimum 6 years of experience implementing Public Key Infrastructure services and Smart Card authentication solutions
Minimum 3 years of experience designing Public Key Infrastructure environments (Issuing, Root Intermediate CA’s)
Minimum 2 years of experience with Identity and Access Management technologies
Minimum 1 year of project management experience leading technical initiatives

Demonstrated experience leading Public Key Infrastructure growth efforts for distributed organizations
4 year degree in Computer Science, other technical field (or minimum 4 years of IT experience preferred)
Minimum 2 years of broader IT experience in a field such as application development, infrastructure management, or related fields in addition to experience in Security technologies
CISSP / MCSE certification
Experience with Smart Card and PKI solutions
Experience integrating PKI solutions with Active Directory and LDAP authentication technologies
Strategic thinker - demonstrated ability to take a business problem or opportunity from inception through design, launch and stabilization
Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
Change oriented – actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
Experience with ITIL v3
