Program PLC-based control systems for controlled atmosphere furnaces using ladder logic and HMI software. Develop control logic based on process requirements ,wiring schematics and develop system HMI. Support testing and system documentation. Support Field Service and customer-down needs via phone & web.
This position requires the development and testing of ladder logic & development and testing of SCADA/HMI systems. Background should include the experience in use of discrete logic, analog IO and PID control of temperature and pressure. HMI experience should include screen displays, ability to develop screen objects and modify object attributes, and database manipulation and maintenance.
Communicate the nature and status of the work being performed to management and designated customer personnel.
2-5 years of programming experience: PLC/HMI Hardware/Software Design and Programming

SCADA / GUI front end development
Project management skills necessary to manage 2-3 live projects and multiple 'fixes'
Design Process Control Systems and Strategies
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Lead design projects from theory to implementation
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graph, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
Good Written and Oral communication skills.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
A bachelor's degree in Process Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or other technical degree is required or equivalent experience
Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Siemens PLC programming
AutoCAD or Solidworks Office software for documentation and communications is a must
Database programming skills a plus
Industrial Furnace experience with an understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and gas flow control.
