This position performs the duties of a Master Plumber along with acting as a supervisor over employees and inmates. It will be required to routinely inspect the plumbing system throughout the 100+ year old security institution to ensure proper operations. This position will submit reports to the supervisor, assist in diagnosing the necessary repairs, order materials and equipment needed to perform the repairs. They will also be prepared to take appropriate action during any emergency situations.

Group : SKILLED TRADES Characteristics of the Class : Performs master plumber duties and supervises employees in the construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, repair, remodeling or removal, and replacement of plumbing; and performs other duties as required. Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements : Work is performed primarily indoors and may require lifting of 50 pounds or less. Work may involve exposure to chemicals and noxious fumes.
