Employees in these positions will be expected to demonstrate mentoring behaviors at all times which may include; demonstrating consistent recovery oriented behaviors and role modeling for others as well as being able to successfully help new employees master tasks and successfully learn the role of a PNA. Those employees permanently assigned to first shift will agree to work the hours of 1500-1930 when needed to provide this training to new employees and those working eve shift will continue their evening hours but with a mentee from the hours of 1500-1930. If employees from night shift would apply, their hours would have to be adjusted to include the 1500-1930 period to assist new employees on the ward.

Applicants must be 18 years of age; have the demonstrated ability to interact with patients; and, have successfully completed the comprehensive training curriculum for Human Service Care Workers. The successful applicant must have demonstrated the ability to follow oral and written instructions and to maintain good interpersonal skills and demonstrated the ability to recognize and properly react to medical and other emergencies. A high school graduate or equivalent is required. Must be able to have flexible hours for mentoring.
Bi-lingual Spanish and English a plus. One year of experience in working as a PNA is a plus.
