It is the primary responsibility of the POOL ATTENDANT to ensure the overall satisfaction of all pool guests by providing greeting upon arrival, distributing towels, offering assistance with seating, displaying excellent customer service, as well as to set-up and breakdown cabanas in a timely manner and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all cabana guests. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
Greets all guests in a timely manner as they enter the pool area.
Assists all guest with seating in the pool area.
Maintains cleanliness of pool facility by picking up towels, garbage, and other debris in the pool area.
Sets up and breaks down pool area by stacking chairs, un-stacking chairs, straightening chairs, and rolling towel bins.
Maintains attentiveness to environment in the pool facility to ensure guest enjoyment.
Follows company customer service standards to ensure the highest level of guest service.
Sets up and breaks down cabanas including moving and cleaning cabanas and furniture as needed.
Actively distributes towels and sells inner tubes.
Fulfills guest requests in a timely manner and assists guests with special requests.
Assists with cabana maintenance to ensure all cabana features are properly operating.
Demonstrates knowledge of pool facility and services to answer guest questions and fulfill guest needs.
Answers questions regarding food and beverage menu options.
Prepares and stocks cabanas for guests.
Communicates professionally and courteously when interacting with guests and fellow co-workers.
Follows company customer service standards to ensure the highest level of guest service.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required:
At least 1 year guest service experience.
At least 1 year Pool Operations experience.
At least 6 months cash handling experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
Previous experience in Food and Beverage.
Previous experience with Infogenesis.
