The Paid Search (PPC) Strategist plays an integral role in outlining effective strategies and techniques for account optimization and profitability. In addition to a strong understanding of PPC, leadership skills, an analytical mind, natural curiosity and passion for data-driven marketing are required. The position requires creative thinking, an extremely rigorous strategic and operational thought process, and a pragmatic approach to resolving technical and logistical issues. The optimal candidate must be comfortable with switching between quantitative analysis, strategic thinking and people management.What you will be tasked with: Day to day planning, management and analysis of PPC channels (Google / Bing / Facebook / LinkedIn) to achieve and exceed channel goals, drive conversions and maintain profitability Managing a production calendar/queue with our PPC agency to ensure proper prioritization, execution and quality assurance of projects so that things will never fall through the cracks' Taking point on collaborating with internal stakeholders (Brand Marketing / Creative, SEO / Social & Analytics) for campaign optimization, expansion and testing of: keywords, campaigns (organization), ad text copy, banners / images, audience / placement targeting and landing pages Owning reporting, analysis and communication of PPC performance on a regular basis including cost, conversions and cost per conversions Performing advanced data analysis activities to summarize data into meaningful insight to be utilized by our agency, other marketing teams and senior management Continually make recommendations to meet conversion goals and lower cost per conversion metrics based on analysis and insights learned from historical campaign performance Understanding/supporting of test initiatives such as landing page A/B testing & multivariate testing, ad text copy testing and conducting post mortem campaign analysis, findings and next steps Supporting the research, strategy and organization of new account launches Assisting with general invoicing and tracking of media expenditures Participating and coordinating the training of internal staff on all things PPC including, but not limited to: responding to inquiries, developing presentation decks or assisting with ad hoc insights and reports Conducting competitive research on a regular basis to keep a pulse on the space and identify new opportunities
You are someone who: Has 3+ years of hands-on PPC/SEM (AdWords / Google Display Network / adCenter a must; Facebook and LinkedIn strongly preferred) experience with a focus on campaign design, data analytics, test design and optimization Has strong working knowledge of: Bid Management Tools (Marin strongly preferred), AdWords Editor, Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups, etc), Google Analytics, Salesforce and other optimization tools Has a working understanding of Display Media, Mobile/Click to Call, Social/Video, Affiliate and SEO (preferred) Has passion for, and track record of delivering quantifiable improvements to campaigns and transforming insights into action Can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced constantly evolving environment Strives and performs at a consistently high level in a demanding, fast-paced environment and display a *can do* attitude at all time Isnt afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into the campaigns for learnings Describes yourself as extremely analytical and detail oriented (a natural project manager) Gets excited and is comfortable when talking PPC with marketing and non-marketing stakeholders (including c-level executives) Has a good understanding of online performance marketing including tracking, attribution modeling, data warehousing concepts, etc. Has management experience, with the ability to inspire and lead a plus Has the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-started qualities, research PPC issues and formulate tangible solutions Hopefully possesses: Google Certification (Fundamentals), Analytics and Adwords Certification
