Assists the Production Assistant Manager to supervise processors and donation attendants and coordinate production activities to include, but not limited to, after market production, hanging standards, receiving of donations, pricing standards, warehouse maintenance and ADC site coverage.
Please be aware that as a member of Goodwill of Greater Washington’s Retail Staff, and a condition of employment, you may be required to work a flexible schedule. In support of store opening, production and closing operations, this schedule will include work on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists and is actively involved with maintaining production levels and quality of merchandise to the sales floor, while ensuring adherence to the RISE Pledge for Processors.
Monitors and ensures a smooth process for all donation functions, while ensuring adherence to the RISE Pledge for Donation Attendants and enforcing security, audit and control procedures.
Fulfills the duties of all production staff (if needed) to include providing excellent customer service to donors, greeting donors and safely unloading donations from vehicles, completing donor receipts, and sorting and processing donated items into designated categories.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Position typically includes lifting items of up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling items, and prolonged standing and walking. Some reaching required.
Assists with maintaining proper staffing as it relates to budgets.
Assists the Assistant Production Manager to accurately record the work of the department.
Assists with monitoring the time and attendance system.
Assists during interviews, trains and instructs workers in such a manner as to develop full working potential.
Assists with the development of efficient and effective methods and procedures for work simplification and material processing.
This position has supervisory responsibility for the production area staff including donation attendants and processors.
High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 6 months supervisory experience.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to satisfactorily pass a background and drug test.
Ability to perform basic reading and math skills at or above an 11th grade skill level.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Previous experience in the area of Transportation, Production and Customer Service Skills.
Ability to train and direct the work of others.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
