The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a command headquarters level program analyst planning, organizing, and determining necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of assigned command missions.
Performs, under general administrative supervision, planning and requirement work in support of one or more command programs, such as information operations (IO); nuclear planning; space operations; command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR); global strike; and missile defense.
Supports development and coordination of DoD Joint operating and warfighting integration concepts in the assigned area of responsibility (AOR).
Collaborates with a broad range of agency experts and decision makers to plan, design and develop performance requirement and future architectures.
Performs a board range of military requirements analysis entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or technologies.
Independently applies fact finding, investigative techniques and procedures to evaluate and predict the ability to support assigned projects, studies, or problems.
Provides technical and advisory support assistance on an entire project and/or major phases for board and varied operations.
Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies and support system concepts.

At least one (1) year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade next lower grade (GS-11) or equivalent level. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Examples of specialized experience include knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of administrative and technical programs that affect the mission, organization and work processes throughout SRATCOM, such as Space Situational Awareness & Command and Control, Space protection, Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance, missile warning, deployment, mobilization, PPBE, acquisition or similar operations.

(TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-11 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral.
The purpose of TIG restrictions is to prevent excessively rapid promotions in competitive service GS positions and to protect competitive principles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a board range of military operations analysis techniques and possession of analytical abilities.
Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
Skill to negotiate and/or defend findings and program support concepts.
Ability to lead study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies with established financial and/or time constraints.
Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiates complex issues; and maintains good working relations.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Work my occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position.
Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required.
This position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the drug-testing program.
It is mandatory for the incumbent to refrain from the use of illegal drugs and misuse of prescription medication.
If requested, the incumbent must submit to urinalysis testing.
Military space, deterrence, and/or cyberspace operations experience is highly desirable.
Incumbent may be required to acquire and retain Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access.
Position may include additional program security requirement in order to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
If so, incumbent must be willing to submit to a Counter Intelligence Polygraph and mandatory drug testing.
