This position provides support to the Senior Associate Dean for Educational Affairs and staff assistance to the associate and assistant deans of educational affairs in the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. This position will be responsible for administrative and technical support of medical education programs of the campus, and assistance for the essential daily functions in the department.

Duties and responsiblilities include, but are not limited to:
Resident Human Resources Activities – 50%

Supports University and Hospital interactions on GME funding strategies, including budget, quota, etc. Coordinates with educational programs to receive information, prior training data, determination of status towards board eligibility ( IRP ), and the gathering of other personnel information necessary for Resident Database Assists with all aspect of resident human resources support, including payroll, appointments, terminations and courtesy appointments in Peoplesoft and Res Track. Ensures data is maintained on ECFMG , VISA and RA status information, salary and annual stipend increases and chief resident excess stipend. Assists with oversight of annual and on-going Master Rotation Schedules for all programs. Database reports (statistical and financial) as required ( AAMC , COTH , Florida Board of Medicine reports and other regulatory agency reports). Financial billing reports for affiliated institutions. Oversees National Resident Matching Program.

Graduate Medical Education Accreditation Activities – 50%

Collaborates with the Senior Associate Dean for Educational Affairs in assuring full compliance with ACGME Requirements for all programs. Knowledgeable of and assists with oversight of program assistants/ residency coordinators for UFHSC /J graduate education programs; advises residency coordinators in Federal and State and University policy and procedure; coordinates the interpretation and application of policies and procedures; education, compliance and communication. Assists with the implementation of policies and activities generated from the Graduate Medical Education Committee ( GMEC ) and its subcommittees.Provide staff support for GMEC and GMEC Subcommittee(s). Assists with RRC site visit preparation, ACGME Program Information Forms and the Internal Review process and follow-up. Coordinates with programs to receive information and provide assistance in the completion of AAMC AMA Frieda and GME Track; ACGME WebAds. Disseminate general information about services available to the Residents. Monitors and tracks submission of required surveys and attestations; compilation of results and reports to office personnel as required. Resident Orientation Program: assists with departmental compliance; maintenance of current training materials; compliance with OSHA , employee health regulations for Residents, and HAMS . Utilization of customized MS Access database for research and report development as needed. Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Dean of Educational Affairs.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
