PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To develop and coordinate Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) Center of Excellence Program, in addition to coordination/tracking of referring physician services. Execute short and long term program goals. Coordinate community outreach, marketing, and education programs. Develop effective relationship with referring physicians.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the program coordinator for Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) Center of Excellence Program and coordination of referring physician services.
Support the Medical Director in the implementation and coordination, evaluation and planning of the programs short and long term goals.
Perform as the primary program liaison responsible for day to day administration and operational issues such as data management, marketing and communications, outreach, annual conference coordination, education, and social media coordination.
Maintain direct communication with the AVP, Sr. Business Director, Financial Analyst and key staff to assure interaction and information exchange among program components, project leaders, and among the professional and lay communities.
In coordination with the Sr. Business Director, manage the program’s budget and payment of all center/program related expenses.
Develop yearly budgets, define goals, objectives, and outcome measures for the HLH program and present to the Sr. Business Director for review and approval.
Perform monthly tracking of costs and expenditures and forecasts of upcoming costs and monitor utilization of fiscal resources and submit necessary budgetary revisions to meet programmatic needs. Budget and finances including account balances and collections. Keep Sr. Business Director abreast of fiscal, personnel, and programmatic matters, identifying conditions and resources to meet objectives, and present issues in addition to recommending solutions.
Coordinate the marketing of the specialty program/center. Serve as point person for the Marketing & Communications team to facilitate content updates to the web site and help guide content development for brochures, social media properties and other marketing materials.
Some creation of patient materials using established design templates. Work with the Marketing Department to further improve website visibility on the internet, including optimization of search engine results (Google, Yahoo) and other social media venues (e.g., Facebook, Twitter).
Perform assessments of website for accuracy of data and information and perform content updates on a monthly basis.
Develop a database, create and maintain relations of outside referral sources.
Communications and Outreach:
Maintain positive, productive and professional contact with program patients, families, physicians and staff.
Participate in meetings and planning process of any activities related to the HLH program.
Establish effective working relationship with referring physicians.
: Establish and maintain efficient and effective database management systems for programs. Develop, distribute, collect and reviews data from online surveys.
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
Minimum 3 years work experience, including demonstrated operations experience with program coordination, problem resolution and utilization of technological applications.
- Experience in an academic or medical setting
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills (detail oriented).
