A. Education, Training & Experience: The Project, Communications & Development Associate must have an Associates Degree in business, communications, marketing, social science, liberal arts or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. It is also preferable that the qualified individual has at least two years of experience in a health-related or social-services position with proven ability to work collaboratively and successfully with a diverse range of individuals and organizations.

B. Knowledge, Abilities & Skills: Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, an exceptional attention to detail and comfort with basic business math. Must be able to simultaneously manage numerous tasks, prioritize work to meet deadlines and work independently. Must demonstrate initiative and an ability to organize and implement assigned projects with limited direction. Must have proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access as well as online computing including the Internet. Experience with updating websites and social media sites is desirable. Must be comfortable using basic office equipment such as telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, etc.. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate an ability to interact effectively with varied community stakeholders and staff. Must be able and willing to flex hours to meet organizational demands. Must be able to manage sensitive and confidential information. A knowledge of community resources, the non-profit sector and working with a community board is desired. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.

Support all functions of the Quad City Health Initiative including supporting projects and special events, promoting the organization through marketing and communications activities, assisting with organizational development efforts and overseeing general office operations.
