AcuSport Corporation is recognized nationwide as one of the leading distributors of outdoor and shooting sports products in the nation. Employing more than 300 people, we are centrally headquartered in Bellefontaine, Ohio and have regional sales offices in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Minnesota, Montana, California and Texas. To ensure we provide great customer service to the west coast, an additional warehouse is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

We are currently searching for an IT Project Manager. The role of the I.T. Project Manager is to coordinate and manage I.T. projects in support of our Directors and Managers who are leading I.T. projects. Initial focus will be on application development and/or packaged software implementations.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with key project leaders and members, define the scope, goals and deliverables to meet the business objectives of large corporate projects. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Collaborate with business project managers to assign appropriate personnel to project tasks. Proactively manage project scope changes, task due dates, and budget objectives. Work with project managers to facilitate the resolution of issues adversely affecting successful project delivery.

Develop best practices and tools, within I.T., for project execution and management.

Qualified candidates will possess an undergrad degree (or equivalent) as well as a minimum of two years' software development project management experience, including all aspects of process development and execution.

Additionally, you will have:
Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or AtTask.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
Customer service skills an asset.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
Flexible during times of change.
Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel.
