RN for Post Surgical Unit (PSU) - Evening Position
Irving Coppell Surgical Hospital performs approximitely 500 procedures per month. We are a licensed 12 bed, 7 OR Surgical Hospital with an Emergency Department and Imaging Center, owned by United Surgical Partners, Inc.

Under the direct supervision of the Post Surgical Unit (PSU) Director, the PSU RN is responsible for caring for post surgical patients, implementing the Post-Operative record, nursing care plan and the assimilation of the patient's hospital record for direct admissions. The PSU RN is also responsible for implementing all physician orders, obtaining signatures on consents, and providing for continuity and quality of nursing care for patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Minimum 2 years experience in hospital setting
Current Texas Nursing License
Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
Excellent communication skills
Good organizational habits
Ability to adapt to change quickly
Strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and patients
Understands principals of aseptic technique and their implementation
Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
Excellent teaching skills
Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
