-Must have experience operating a 24 foot straight truck, and adhere to all applicable Department of Transportation regulations.

-Maintain a valid driver’s license of appropriate type. Official driving record must be verifiable through our normal procedures prior to consideration; if hired, at periodic intervals thereafter.
-Successfully pass a background check.
-Must be at least 21 years old.
-Submit to pre-employment drug testing and any testing in the future that the Company requires employees to do.
-Successfully complete a road test and job interview.
-Meet physical requirements from Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
-Work hours vary by route. Routes are designed around customer needs; hours or work days may change. Position requires that if hired, employee is willing to accept assigned work.

US Cargo is seeking a Part Time Straight Truck Driver at our Dayton, OH location.
To provide courier services to customers in the most efficient, safe and timely manner. Promote excellent customer and public relations. Meet the transportation needs of customers. Drive safely at all times.
-Pick up/deliver and scan shipments including documents, mail, supplies and other goods, packaged in envelopes, boxes, bags and other containers, from/to various locations within the city, state or adjoining states.
-Follow the assigned route schedule or recommended route sequence.
-Operate a motor vehicle in a safe, responsible manner at all times, in all weather conditions; insure the security of customers’ property and the safety of our driver and the public.
-Report any accidents, injuries and safety hazards whether they are personal or property immediately.
-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of assigned vehicle, to assure safety and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle, and to properly document these inspections.
-Use all safety equipment and loading/unloading apparatus (hand truck) to assure the proper handling and security of freight while in transit and while loading or unloading.
-Keep Company and customer property safe and secure at all times.
-Complete required company documents in an accurate, legible and timely manner (route sheets, manifests, bills of lading, accident/injury reports, time sheets and vehicle inspection reports).
-Maintain excellent customer and public relations by displaying a professional and polite attitude.
-Display a neat, clean appearance; follow Company’s dress and appearance policy at all times.
-Perform other duties as required.
