POSITION SUMMARY: Public Safety Officer is responsible for patrolling Community Hospital of Long Beach and to maintain a life and safety environment for employees, physicians, patients and visitors.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One year previous security experience with an emphasis in hospital based Public Safety. Previous military, law enforcement, college classes, the use of non lethal weapons, self defense, penal code, writing reports, investigative reporting, interviewing and arrest techniques. Current CA Department of Consumer Affairs Guard registration card, (Baton, Mace Permits) useful. Current California Drivers License & Safe Driving Record Required, Excellent physical condition. Must be 21 years of age. High School Graduate or equivalent shall be able to communication, read write in English, Computer skills minimum Word Perfect, excel, report writing required. Reports: Supervisor Public Safety Officer or Designate.
