Provide leadership, direction, and supervision for 34 staff members who make up the Processing Services Team. Develop goals, objectives, and strategies for the team; monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of operational plans. Coordinate with other team supervisors and leadership members to achieve goals. Supervise and evaluate the work of subordinates; effectively recommend personnel actions related to selection, disciplinary action, performance and evaluations, leaves of absence, grievances, work schedules and assignments, and administer personnel and related policies and procedures. Prepare formal requests and recommendations for promotions and position reassignments.

Determine training needs which consists of written and/or verbal communication, retraining, cross training and training on new procedures. Work with the Program Manager to develop a comprehensive training program for all subordinates. Develop standard training methods and monitoring of training to insure consistency of rules, policies and procedures.

Coordinate the hiring process of up to 36 temporary employees during peak processing.

Serve as the Department’s Record’s Officer for long term storage coordinating the long-term storage of records, record destruction, as well as retrieval requests. Coordinate with Cultural Affairs staff on the proper procedure of identifying long term storage and the movement between Cultural Affairs and the Hoover Building. Coordinate the movement of paper documents between the Hoover Building and Morgan Street, and with Iron Mountain on the weekly destruction of paper documents. Manage and coordinate the annual destruction of paper documents and ensure no documents are destroyed in error. Manage database to ensure receipt of all paper tax documents are properly housed.

Essential Functions include the ability to communicate verbally and in written format, to think analytically and give clear, concise direction. Ability to work with others in a professional manner and foster teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university and experience equal to four years of full-time professional level work in program administration, development, management or operations.
