This position supports the package engineering department by executing workflows, bill of material changes, and packaging specification changes. They will track and assist in the execution of corporate initiatives and speed to market projects. They will interact with suppliers and developers to obtain required information, format and store for projects.
Workflow maintenance in Optiva/PLM
Part number creation and assignment
Packaging specification creation and updates per the package engineer
Tracking of sourcing project specification details and compilation of data
Bill of material creation and maintenance of modifications
GTIN monitoring and correction
Supplier communication of packaging specifications
Audit of competitive packaging
Helpline investigation to support tablestakes
Acquisition documentation and organization of packaging materials
Maintenance of active and discontinued product codes on divisional spreadsheets
Packaging specification template development per the packaging engineer
What do I need to be considered a candidate?
Bachelors degree in related field preferred. Associates degree required.
Must be able to learn new software systems (like Optiva, PLM) to execute packaging specification work
Must be able to communicate in verbal and written formats concisely and coherently in English
Must be detail oriented, with precise accuracy for data transactions
Must be competent with math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
