The Paid Search Manager will be part of MLB.com’s Marketing Department and will be responsible for managing paid search campaigns for our e-commerce business.
Objectives/Roles
Oversee day to day operations of company’s paid search campaigns across multiple engines
Optimize paid search marketing campaigns, with a focus on increasing acquisition scale and return on investment
Deliver program growth by testing new creative, optimizing bidding strategies, and expanding keyword coverage
Ensure key promotions and events throughout year are accurately reflected in paid search ad campaigns
Communicate results to key stakeholders and make recommendations for future channel development
A proven ability to articulate, measure and achieve goals and to identify opportunities to drive incremental growth
Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends and constantly review the marketplace for new search opportunities
Understanding of company’s e-commerce business units
Ability to report campaign performance and findings to different audiences
Ability to learn and utilize internal systems and tools as needed
Assist with day-to-day management and coordination of partner relationships
Effectively contribute to department and manage additional marketing projects as assigned
Crucial Competencies / Previous Experience
Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 4 years experience managing Search Engine Marketing, specifically Pay Per Click experience
Experience working with all major search engine platforms
DoubleClick Search and Omniture experience a plus
Deep knowledge of SEM for e-commerce and optimization tactics
Strong analytical thinker who can develop strategies from start to finish
Knowledge of mobile website technologies a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
Able to manage projects from conception to implementation
Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, driven, upbeat, positive attitude
Flexible schedule: available weekends and late nights occasionally throughout the year, as needed
Team player with the ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all levels of MLBAM staff and partners
Strong familiarity with the game of baseball
