Provides care to age specific populations and considers the following as appropriate:
Directs and participates in the overall care of a given group of patients in order to assure quality and initiate plans for improvement when necessary. Able to manage acutely ill and complex patient care problems when necessary.
Coordinates reporting activities in order to enhance continuity of patient care. Ensure administration and documentation of medications according to policy. Recognizes limitations of some therapies that must be managed in a critical care setting.
Plans and implements or delegates appropriate patient teaching and discharge planning, while continuously evaluating the documentation of progress. Assesses patient/significant other's current knowledge base and educational needs and incorporates both into the plan of care.
Demonstrates an understanding of path physiology relative to complex disease processes and utilizes this knowledge in planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
Qualifications: hold a current medical license in the state of Alabama
Strong assessment skills, strong critical thinking, excellent time management and ability to work independently. Highly organized, excellent documentation, excellent customer service, bilingual desired. Set work schedule.
