We are searching for a Painter for our Arbors at Antelope community, a 160 acres of lushly landscaped grounds with meandering streets, quiet cul-de-sacs and a private pet park. In brief summary, the Painter is responsible for ensuring all homes are painted prior to new residents moving into the homes. The ideal candidate will be an expert in airless paint sprayers, proficient in drywall repairs, and have additional general maintenance knowledge with a great attention to detail.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing the homes for painting including but not limited to caulking, floating, sheetrock repairs, and taping off the home
Responsible for either painting or touching up each home upon move-out depending on the condition of the home upon move-out
Responsible for following all safety requirements each and every day
Notifying Warehouse Manager of any supplies needed
Responsible for handling all paint products and chemicals used in a safe and responsible manner
Cleaning up work area upon completion of painting
Other duties as requested by Management
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Candidates for this Position should hold the following qualifications and be able to demonstrate the following abilities to be considered as a suitable applicant. Please note that except where specified as “preferred,” all points listed below are considered minimum requirements.
Qualifications (Skills – technical and non-technical):
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
One or more year’s painting experience
Knowledge of safety procedures associated with the use of paint products
Strong attention to detail
Valid driver’s license for state in which the property is located
Proficient in drywall repairs
Abilities:
Clear, concise verbal and written communication
Strong attention to detail
Good organization and time management skills
Ability to learn and comply with all safety rules
Ability to use, clean, and maintain an airless paint sprayer
WORKING CONDITIONS (physical, vision, hearing, speaking, mental, driving requirements / work environment):
Frequently exposed to high temperatures and humidity
Frequent bending at the neck/waist, kneeling and climbing
Frequent exposure to paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, etc.
Alternates frequently between walking and standing
Occasionally carries/lifts load of up to 150 pounds with assistance from co-workers
