As the market leader, MCI designs, manufactures and markets coaches for tour, line haul, transit and conversion uses. The Painter position is responsible for ensuring coaches and/or coach parts are painted accurately and with high level quality to meet our customer’s expectations and coach build standards. Primary Responsibilities
  • Paint coaches and/or small parts for coach to ensure quality and accuracy to MCI specifications and standards.
  • Perform touch ups on coaches and/or small parts as required.
  • Perform spot spraying as needed.
  • May be required to perform body repair work, buffing and decaling as required. Position Requirements
  • Must have good command of English language to effectively read work instructions and interpret paint charts and sales orders.
  • Familiarity with paint shop environment and paint processes is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment (bending, twisting, stretching, kneeling, squatting, push/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, and must be able to wear a respirator and withstand fumes/chemicals).
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on details to ensure quality is maintained at all times.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, along with the ability to distinguish colours accurately and use hand, air & power tools.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems individually or as a team member and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Education or hands-on experience in related field is a definite asset.
