The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of previous Paint experience and is comfortable working in a high pace production environment.
The Paint Technician will be applying paint to heavy equipment that includes, but is not limited to, portable delimber/debarkers, combination delimber/debarker/chippers with loaders, recyclers (hogs), blow trucks, etc.
The Paint Technician will mix paints, enamels, lacquers to match standard colors of products and to the proper consistency and viscosity for spraying or brushing. Apply bond coats and standard finishes to a variety of parts or products, using spray gun or brush. Perform finish-coat painting in accordance with special specifications on work where high grade finish is essential. Prepare surface, apply coating and touch up marred surfaces.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Minimum 3 years' experience heavy equipment or auto body painting required; heavy equipment painting preferred.
- Represents Peterson in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Team oriented with a strong work ethic able to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be safety oriented.
- Demonstrated proficiency with prep work; sanding, masking, spray painting with industrial enamel and multiple color paint scheme.
