A Second Cook with Conrad Hotels and Resorts is responsible
maintaining and setting up food production and quality control of all meat, fish, poultry, sauces, stocks, seasoning and all other food items prepared in the different kitchen stations.

What will I be doing?
As a Second Cook, you are responsible for ensuring that food is prepared and presented to a high quality to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Second Cook would also be required to assist with food cost controls. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product to the guest. Visually inspects, selects and uses only food items ideal for food preparation and presentation.
Checks and controls the proper storage of product, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality. Keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with Health department regulations.
Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production.
Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes.
Make the necessary preparations for the menus in different restaurants, room service, banquet, team members’ restaurant and other areas where food is served.
Check with kitchen management about daily hours of service for the events and for the quantity of attendees. Verify about possible changes.
Ensures the quality, quantity and presentation of the dishes and the buffets, met establish brand standards.
Keep portion control in the use of material and food.

Achieved Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work on own or in teams
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Previous kitchen experience in similar role
Intermediate food hygiene
