Atlanta-based Aaron's is seeking a commercial real estate paralegal with 2+ years of relevant experience. Candidates should have significant experience in reviewing and drafting real estate closing documents, leases,
purchase agreements and other commercial real estate documents. Candidates must be willing to work as part of
a team, have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Providing support for Aaron's real estate attorneys by generating the initial drafts of a variety of real estaterelated
documents and coordinating and tracking the execution of the various documents. To be successful in this area, it is necessary to develop and maintain a good working relationship and a high level of trust with employees in the Legal, Real Estate, Construction and Property Management departments.Responding to landlord requests for documentation, such as estoppels and Subordination, Non-Disturbance and Attornment agreements.This requires interaction with Aaron's Property Management and Facilities departments to ensure that there are no landlord default issues that may be waived by Aaron's execution of such documents. Generating letters and documents at the request of Aaron's Construction and Signage departments in order to properly document agreements between those departments and outside parties, such as Aaron's franchisees. Review and assist in-house real estate attorneys in the negotiation and preparation of commercial lease agreements, amendments and acquisition and divestiture documentation. Assist the real estate legal, real estate, lease administration, lease accounting and construction departments regarding real estate lease and legal issues.
Either (1) degree from an accredited college or university or (ii) paralegal certificate
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with a law firm, regional or national retailer, developer or landlord's retail real estatelegal department Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Strong attention to detail is essential
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, multi-task, and prioritize workload effectively
