The Parking & Classroom Attendant is a part time, on-call position in Auxiliary Services at Seattle Central Community College (SCCC). This position will work mostly weekday mornings and may be asked to patrol and enforce parking regulations, collect parking fees, direct vehicular traffic, and clean in the Harvard Parking Garage. The attendant will also open, monitor and provide security for the classroom use of the Broadway Performance Hall (BPH) during the weekday morning hours. For parking function, this position reports directly to the Parking Guide Lead. For the BPH classroom function, this position reports directly to the Program Manager for the BPH. Patrols campus parking areas on foot. Observes parking and traffic patterns and issues citations for parking violations.
Visually checks entering vehicles for valid parking permit;
Issues daily campus parking permits (receipts), collects and receives daily parking fees, and reconciles cash with cash register; follows proper cash control procedures;
Directs the flow of campus traffic to appropriate areas;
Directs visitors to parking areas and offices and provides general campus information upon request;
Sweeps and cleans garages and parking areas as required.

Open and unlock gates and elevators to the performance hall.
Turn on computer, projector, lights and sound system as needed
Monitor and secure the area to make sure only students attending classes are admitted into the auditorium.
Assist with maintaining and cleaning of restrooms and other areas in the upper hall area.
Required Education, Experience & Abilities:
Walking, lifting 15 pounds or more unassisted, ability to speak and understand English, ability to work a cash register, ability to be available during the weekday morning hours.
