Perform duties within the Parking and Transportation Services Department with the primary responsibility being to accept payment for parking in the visitor lot(s) and to disseminate information to customers/visitors to the University. The employee will give out brochures and maps of the University.
Knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Demonstrated math skills. Comprehensive communication skills. Demonstrated computer and calculator skills. Demonstrated organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to collect and account for money received. Demonstrated ability to balance cash drawer and reconcile cash reports daily. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with the public and promote a positive image of the University.
Some education or training beyond a high school diploma in a related field.
Must be able to work from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday - Thursday and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday. Must be able to work during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Hourly (wage) employees may only work 1500 hours during their employment year(30 hours/week). This position does not include health insurance, retirement, or leave.
