Summary
The Contract Recruiter will continue to develop and implement Charles River's full cycle recruitment process, including proactive candidate sourcing, qualifying candidates for varied and diverse positions at all levels of the organization, management of the interview process, and cost effective advertising. The incumbent will be responsible for developing local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The successful candidate will position the company as an "employer of choice" and develop a pipeline of candidates for current and future needs.

Responsibilities

Consult with managers to develop recruiting strategies for experienced hires; develop sound business relationships with internal clients to achieve stated goals
Create job descriptions in conjunction with hiring managers and, working with Human Resources, align job descriptions with compensation recommendations, establish appropriate salary ranges

Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position and efficiently and effectively fill open positions

Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, recruiting vendors, job fairs, college recruiting, association memberships, trade groups and employee referrals

Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting

Directly source candidates using internet searches and cold calling

Identify and seek out events and sources for diverse candidates

Prescreen and interview applicants and recommend hires; conduct reference/background checks; initiate employment letters; create follow-up correspondence with interviewed candidates

Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System

Conduct training classes on behavioral based interviewing

Ensure that recruiting practices comply with EEO and ADA guidelines

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years experience with full project life cycle recruiting with at least 2 years of experience recruiting software engineers/computer scientists

Experience in requirements gathering and the development of staffing strategies

Proven experience in sourcing passive candidates using Boolean, X-Ray, and Flip Searches

Experience in creating salary parity analysis, negotiations and closing candidates

Proficiency in compensation research and analysis

Experience improving and reporting on recruitment metrics

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and HRIS applications

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

The following experience is not necessary, but highly desired:

AIRS certifications in internet recruiting (CIR), Diversity Recruiter (CDR), Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter (CSSR)

Experience working for a search firm coupled with corporate experience

Experience in defense contracting

Experience using behavior based interviewing
