Job SummaryReporting to the Managing Director, the Full Charge Bookkeeper provides support to NCSEAs Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual Operations through information analyses (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.), preparation of operational data/analyses for publication to various constituents throughout company (Management, Board, etc.) who rely on/benefit from the information to make informed business decisions. Primary responsibilities will include assisting NCSEA in the Monthly Operations Review, identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, revenue stream reporting, trending and analysis, cost accounting, annual budget process, periodic forecasting, periodic analysis of operations performance, timely deposits, accounts receivable/accounts payable entries and payments, timekeeping and processing payroll. This position is a 20 hour per week job. Must have QuickBooks and Nonprofit Accounting Experience. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly analysis of costs and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks.Partner with Management in determining financial impact due to cost reductions, donor gain/loss, membership gain/loss, etc. and prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projected results.Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.Establish annual budgets and track monthly.Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement. As appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)Maintain a safe and clean work environment.Understand and follow company rules and regulations.Format spreadsheets prior to Board Meetings to prepare the Executive and Managing Directors.Process Memberships in a timely manner.All incoming money / receipts processed within one week. Prepare for the November audits annually for the Board.Organize and maintain all financial files.Capture timesheet reporting for accurate payroll processing.Financial Planning and AnalysisCost AccountingTrending AnalysisRevenue stream tracking and forecastingPerform all other duties as assigned and required.Education & Experience RequirementsTwo to four years of experience in a similar position; experience with operations preferred. Must possess a flare for numbers, work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods. Strong experience in income statement analysis. Must have QuickBooks and Nonprofit Accounting Experience. Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience with QuickBooks or equivalent, and Business Intelligence, a plus. Must be professional to lend credibility with the customer and donor base. Must possess impeccable references and pass criminal/credit background check.
