Reporting to the Director, Global Partner Development, you will be responsible for establishing business relationships, and meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. By leveraging marketing and sales programs and other SMART resources, you will drive activities that will enable the growth of SMART sales within assigned geographic territories and specific market segments.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
  • Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships through proactive channel account management, including regular face-to-face meetings and communication at the reseller level
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with SMART Account Directors and all field staff assigned to support the growth of Enterprise business for SMART
  • Supporting the development and closure of opportunities within your assigned resellers and with our shared customers to reach/exceed quarterly annual sales quotas
  • Building robust capability within the group of resellers assigned to you with the goal of creating self-sufficiency within the channel
  • Presenting to and educating the channel in your region on the existing and new components of the SMART Business Solutions
  • Supporting speedy resolution of customer/channel issues while fostering a SMART is easy to do business with relationship
  • Developing and reviewing (face to face and through distance collaboration) monthly, quarterly and annual business plans for each reseller
  • Actively maintaining reseller data through the Salesforce.com system
  • Building territory plans to ensure a best in class channel eco-system; includes engagement with new resellers and evaluation of the effectiveness of our reseller channel regularly in an effort to maximize coverage of all markets including, enterprise, business state and local government and other targeted segments
  • Planning and executing strategies for maximizing sales across all business segments while minimizing potential channel conflicts
  • Meeting and exceeding sales quotas with new and assigned SMART resellers
  • Distributing leads to resellers based on end-user's requirements and resellers product knowledge, allegiance to SMART and return on investment
  • Resolving customer and reseller issues using ethical, practical and fair methods
  • Supporting resellers at local trade shows, seminars, conferences and customer events
  • Support resellers in their efforts to sell SMART products to their customers by ensuring their capabilities, capacities, interests and commitment, and by regularly evaluating their marketing strategies and practices
  • Ensuring that resellers are adequately informed and trained on SMART's full range of programs and products
  • Monitoring market and competitor activities, and providing relevant reports and information
  • Providing high-quality territory reports showing knowledge of a specific territory, and suggesting plans for required improvements
  • Traveling approximately 75 percent of the time throughout your territory and within North America
Job Requirements

You have the following qualifications:
  • Degree in business, marketing or a related field
  • At least 10 years channel sales experience with a successful, fast-paced, technology-driven business
  • Proven aptitude for developing relationships with key decision makers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, reasoning and problem-solving abilities
  • A high level of self-motivation
  • Strong time-management, record-keeping and planning skills
  • A valid passport for travel to Canada, or no impediment to obtaining one
