Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a talented, self-directed partner marketing manager to market to and with members of the AWS consulting partner ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, industry-leading technology business.
This role will be responsible for working with consulting partners (Systems Integrators, Consultancies, VARs) to develop best-in-class demand generation programs focused on adding customers to our joint platform. In this role, the successful candidates will partner with the AWS partner business development team, to ensure that we have excellent communication and GTM engagement with a focused set of Partners. Key activities will entail driving joint marketing content, collateral and marketing programs designed to drive further adoption of AWS usage jointly with consulting partners in the region. Successful candidates must have prior partner marketing experience working at a top technology company and must use this understanding to create targeted marketing programs, campaigns and materials focused on marketing to and through these Partners.
The ideal candidate has a passion for technology, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a successful track record in partner marketing, marketing communication, product marketing and/or solution marketing. Candidate must be able to generate and present best-in-class marketing programs, campaigns and marketing content in support of our solution provider community.
Roles & Responsibilities
Work jointly with members of the AWS Partner Network community to develop marketing campaigns and programs utilized by Partners in marketing to their existing customer base, resulting in more revenue and sales pipeline. Work closely with AWS service teams, sales/business development, PR, evangelists, and other marketing managers to ensure the AWS message is reaching a broad audience of Partners via events, seminars, webinars and other thought leadership activities. Build an effective marketing plan to drive awareness, adoption, and usage of the AWS platform through partner driven activities. Travel, as necessary, to execute marketing initiatives.
7+ years of relevant work experience in Partner marketing. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technical, or relevant field of study. Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail. Proven success managing time and juggling multiple projects in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast. Deep experience in building best-in-class marketing programs, as well as marketing content (PPT, whitepaper, datasheet, web content, Youtube and online videos). Examples of each required for consideration of position. Technical background and experience working in B2B, high-tech products/services preferred. Ability to present ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives.
MBA preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization. The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously. Experience working on cloud computing technologies/companies.
