The area: Partnerships
There's always more information out there, and our Partnerships team works to get it. We develop relationships with a range of organizations, from content providers to publishers, and find ways for them to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. We find great content for our products, and we also work with partner sites to syndicate our own Google products. From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we're in pursuit of gathering the world's information.
The role: Partner Strategy Associate, YouTube
Google's line of products and services to clients never stops growing. Strategic Partner Analysts help build and maintain strategic relationships with many of our top partners. You forecast and report revenue and other key metrics, track progress toward forecasts and ensure prompt and proper resolution of partner inquiries. You lead analyses and communicate final recommendations that impact the negotiation and closing of strategic partnerships. Represent Google's user, product and program interests and influence our key partners regarding contractual, technical and financial issues.
Our YouTube Partnerships Strategy group works on strategy and operations touching our largest YouTube partners. Our partners include music labels, movie studios, and YouTube native creators. We are racing to develop better partner portfolio strategy and invest in new areas of growth.
Research and analyze key business drivers, competitive environment, opportunities, trends and operating metrics.
Execute sophisticated quantitative data that translates into actionable insights. Develop deal models that evaluate the ROI of key partnerships, and implement complex financial structures.
Analyze research data and synthesize raw information into insights, recommendations, dashboards and reports. Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings from initiatives to senior management and to the broader organization.
Own part of larger initiatives both on an on-going basis and on an ad-hoc basis in order to provide proactive support in execution of global business development strategic priorities.
BA or BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience).
Superior Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint skills.
Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills and impeccable business judgment.
Familiarity with database query (e.g. MS Access), statistical analysis, and/or SQL coding.
Experience in or interest for the consumer internet and media industries.
2 years of relevant experience at a top-tier firm in management consulting, corporate strategy, media, online video, corporate finance, sales finance, or investment banking.
