We have three main products:
  • HowAboutWe Dating is the offline dating site. Members post date ideas, connect, and meet - offline.
  • HowAboutWe for Couples helps couples have wonderful experiences together. Members choose from our curated collection of one-of-a-kind experiences for two; we take care of all the booking. It’s the must-have membership for the modern couple.
  • The Date Report provides engaging, entertaining and enlightening content about dating and relationships.
The Role We are seeking an experienced sales professional to help kick-off our brand new partnership sales effort. You will be responsible for driving sales, securing new business, and managing deep ongoing relationships on the agency and client level. You will report directly to the General Manager for HowAboutWe Media and work alongside one other seller. Key responsibilities include:
  • Building relationships with key marketing executives and decision makers on target accounts
  • Driving the entire sales process including: meetings, RFP, negotiations, closing, and advising during execution
  • Maintaining an aggressive sales pipeline with weekly reports to sales management
  • Leveraging the HowAboutWe marketing and editorial teams to create best-in-class, innovative partnership opportunities for our advertisers
Who You Are You are excited to join a leading consumer internet startup and get in at the ground floor of our new sales effort. You have:
  • 2-5 years of sales experience
  • You are a self-starter and understand how to prioritize and manage your own time to meet structured goals
  • Team player, with a strong sense of ownership and a 'get things done' attitude
  • Strong sales, negotiation, account management, follow-up, and time management skills are essential
  • Superb interpersonal communications skills, outgoing personality, and strong presentation skills
  • Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in an energetic, fast-paced, creative environment
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively independently and in collaborative team environments
  • Strong track record in achieving goals with outstanding execution and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity

This position is for full-time employment on-site in our office in DUMBO. We will support relocation for the right candidates.
