San Juan, Puerto Rico, Full-Time/Year-Round SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the shipping and receiving of all parts and other items delivered to Cape Air. Proper distribution of these items as well as cataloging and storing the parts received in compliance with all FAA and GMM regulations. Maintaining inventory, along with any other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Materials.

  • Perform accurate, timely computer system transactions including parts/materials issues and returns, warehouse transfers and bin transfers to maintain inventory integrity
  • Locate and acquire parts/materials for Maintenance using the computer tracking system and other resources
  • Ensure parts/materials are properly stored, segregated and identified, and compile with the parts/material Shelf Life program per GMM 20-05
  • Review the CALM system daily for open requisitions to determine if requested parts/materials are still needed, to determine why requisitions are not processed and to cancel/delete outdated requisitions
  • Expedite past-due repair and purchase orders for critical spare requirements
  • Enforce stockroom security, cleanliness and department policies
  • Oversee inventory-related projects. Ensure timely assigned task completion
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous materials/dangerous goods regulations
  • Maintain aggressive awareness of the threat of Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUPS) to prevent potential compromise of inventory integrity
  • Carefully handle aircraft parts during transactions, shipping and receiving to avoid damage, flight cancellations or delays
  • Ship parts/material per Company policies and procedures, and applicable regulations, especially hazardous materials/dangerous goods
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Candidates with airline/aviation experience or background will be preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate
  • Must be willing to be trained in and have knowledge and understanding of the GMM
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license to drive golf carts, tugs and aircraft moving equipment
  • Must be able to bend frequently, stand for long periods of time, and must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well both independently and in team situationsMust exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
