The Parts Production Manager is responsible for managing and planning the production activities for products being processed through the Wilmington inspection and dedication facility in support of the GEH Nuclear Parts Business. They will lead a team responsible for receiving, shipping, and overall inventory control. As well as ensure that all products are processed efficiently, on time, within budget and to the established quality standards.
In addition, you will:
Manage a team of receiving, shipping, and inventory control personnel
Develop the production schedule and oversee the production process
Ensure products are inspected on time and meeting all quality requirements
Prepare and maintain production reports
Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
Lead continuous improvement projects and implement standard operating procedures for production operations using lean six sigma methodologies
Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
Determine and implement improvements to the production process
Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including quality, procurement, engineering and project management to resolve production issues
Manage a cycle counting and overall inventory control plan
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience)
Minimum of 5 year of experience in industrial production planning or in a related discipline
