The Patient Access Representative facilitates the flow of patients as well as patient information by providing clerical and clinical health care support to patients, families, providers and other professions within the continuum of care. This is achieved through effective communication, precise information entry, and appropriate follow up to patient situations and scenarios based on their department specific knowledge and critical thinking skills.
Hiring Range Description:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Associates Degree preferred.
Three years experience in a medical office required. Prior clerical work experience in a medical office, knowledge of medical terminology, typing skills required.
Special Skills / Other:
Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks. Must be able to understand written and oral instructions pertaining to scheduling and physician requests and demonstrate critical decision making to manage these requests. Ability to deal with people at all times in a pleasant and tactful manner. Must have excellent computer skills.
