Patient Access Specialist
Perform patient registration and/ or preregistration.
Supply and/or work data quality work queues and reports.
Review and work ED Self Pay, HOV Self Pay and missing registration items work queues.
Perform as a PAS HealthSpan Super-user
Rotate MOC responsibilities.
Fill-in for and collaborate with the Data Quality Office as needed.
Represent the department/division on quality improvement and other committees, when applicable.
Fill-in for front-line staff when needed
Two year degree in Healthcare Management, Medical Office Technology, Business, Finance, Public Health, or other related degree is required. Three to five years of experience in Patient Access Services, or healthcare, business office, or front office functions is required. Two years experience as a team leader, supervisor, or other related leadership preferred.
Additional years of experience in a Patient Access Representative or related role may be substituted for education on a year for year basis, with a maximum of 2 years.
1 full time position, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
