Patient Account Associate Team Leader

Responsibilities:

The Patient Account Associate Team Leader provides functional supervision to the Patient Account Associates I & II as acts as the functional supervisor in the absence of the Billing Supervisor. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting in the on-boarding of new staff; providing one-on-one training to new staff; training current staff on established protocols as necessary; entering charges into the practice management system; printing or transmitting claims to assigned insurance carriers; posting manually or electronically payments to patients’ invoices upon receipt of remittance advice; answering questions from patients regarding their accounts; provides technical assistance to staff outside the billing office.

Qualifications:

Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED,
3 Years proven experience as a medical/dental biller of which at least one year was in a senior biller position,
Computer literacy knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word Outlook),
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal,
Ability to organize daily work flow identifying priorities,
Ability to manage multiple tasks,
Ability to work independently and in a team,
Ability to effectively represent Harbor to outside agencies.

Supervisory Responsibility:
Functional supervision of PAA I & II and direct supervision in the absence of the Billing Supervisor

Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:
NextGen and Dentrix billing systems or similar automated billing system
