This is a casual status position, and there is no guarantee of hours per week. This positon is not benefits eligible.Administers bedside nursing care and performs general unit duties under the direction and supervision of an RN. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Under direction of the RN/LPN, assists in meeting the physical and emotional needs of the patient on his/her assigned unit. The patient population would include: the young-middle aged adult patient, and the geriatric patient.The medical-surgical P.C.T. shall, under the direction of the RN/LPN, carry out assigned treatments and procedures.The medical-surgical P.C.T. shall be competent and current, adhering to established standards of practice and will engage in activities or behaviors that characterize professionals.The medical-surgical P.C.T. shall provide care based on ethical concepts, respect for life, dignity, human worth and the individuality of human beings.Performs additional duties as assigned within the scope of the department.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYEE'S SUBORDINATE POSITIONS: NoneQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
