Job Title: Patient Insurance Verification Consultant
Shift: 8:00AM - 4:00PM, Tuesday and Wednesday and includes alternating holidays
Weekends/Holidays: Holidays

Qualifications:

Duties : Responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits for all scheduled patients. Responsible for determining all co payment amounts to be made to the hospital prior to scheduled treatments. Coordinate valid authorizations involving all HMO, Managed Care, PPO, POOS and Medicare carriers between carrier, facility and admitting doctor. Educates patient and public at large, regarding insurance carrier requirements.

Qualifications : High school graduate. Excellent reading, writing, and math skills. Previous experience in all phases of medical billing and customer service. Computer literate. Proficient in Unity and Smsnet preferred. Clear concise communication skills. Good analytical skills. Understand Managed Care and Medicare requirements. Ability to merge clinical and financial needs. Knowledge of PC.
