DESCRIPTION

Professional Management, Inc. ("PMI") is a 3rd party medical billing company that has been serving the medical profession since 1968. We strive to achieve the highest quality of medical billing, coding, data submission and client services as evidenced by our accuracy, reliability, timeliness and validity. Currently, we have an opening for a CLERK.

DUTIES

To provide clerical support to the patient relations department. To perform assigned tasks in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, and goals, of the patient relations department.

Essential Functions:
1.Maintain Departmental Spreadsheets
2.Follow Scanning Procedures for Document Imaging
3.Maintaining and updating the Insurance File
4.Processing responses from the Maryland Medical Assistance Electronic Verification System
5.Preparing and Processing Insurance forms with appropriate attachments
6.Processing daily mail to Insurance Carriers, Patients, etc
7.Indentifying and Distributing Incoming Faxes
8.Processing Incoming Correspondence as assigned
9.Provide back up to the Patient Relations Representative as needed
10.Completes all other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
1.Familiarity with general and clerical office routines, such as filing, photocopying, etc.
2.Data entry skills a plus.
3.Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
4.High school diploma or equivalency.
5.Intermediate computer skills.
6.Intermediate organizational skills.
7.Detail oriented.
8.Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English Language.
9.Familiarity with Internet
