- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Provides a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment related services . Cross-trained to staff all areas of Patient Access at any facility, including but not limited to Front Desk, Admitting Office, ER registration, PBX, Cashier, Pre-registration, verification. Acts as a resource for training of new team members and during the implementation of new processes.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills
1.Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems required.
2.Must be able to type 35 nwpm.
3.Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders or completion of course within 1 year.
4.Must be detail oriented.
5.Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
6.Must be able to multi-task and maintain composure in difficult situations in a fast paced environment. Demonstrates a positive and professional approach and communicates effectively with customers and team members.
REQUIRED LENGTH AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE:
- Two years of relevant experience in Patient Access and/or Patient Accounting or a minimum of three (3) years customer service interacting with the public by telephone or in person in a similar role or capacity.
