Select Physical Therapy in Bowling Green- VA is seeking a per diem or PRN Patient Service Specialist (PSS). This position WILL be full time from October 2013 until January 2014 covering for the extended leave of our current PSS. Per diem/ PRN is on an as needed basis, there is no guaranteed schedule or hours. Please understand we will need you FULL time (40 hours/week) for three months and our clinic hours are Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri 7-530p and Tues 8-430p.

Our PSS' operate similar to a Medical Office Assistant with responsibilities including, but not limited to; greeting patients, verifying insurance, answering telephones, scheduling, etc. This is NOT an Aide position, there is no patient care. This is strictly an administrative position at the front desk of our busy outpatient physical therapy clinic.

You MUST have previous medical office experience, particularly with verifying insurance, to be considered.

Hourly rate ranges based on experience +/- $12/hour.

Responsible for answering telephones and greeting visitors to the Center, as well as performing general clerical functions.


Good communication and telephone skills. Ability to use all necessary office equipment, faxes, copiers, etc. Ability to interact well with other staff members, customers, field associates and businesses. Ability to type 60 words per minute preferred. Strong customer service skills. High School Diploma or GED required.
