DESCRIPTION

This position serves as the first point of contact to ensure each patient's expectations are exceeded through exemplary performance of the essential job functions. This position will regularly work 16-19 hours per week. An ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule to ensure adequate coverage of the front desk and patient care.

DUTIES

Answer telephone
Schedule appointments, including confirming and follow up of cancelled or missed appointments
Data entry of new patient information. Update patient information as needed
Gather appropriate patient registration paperwork, including HIPAA notification, patient insurance and/or authorization for care
Explanation of insurance benefits to patients
Perform open and close procedures for clinic front desk
Prepare and file medical records prior to and after scheduled patient visits
Respond to medical record requests
Collection of fees for service
Provides educational opportunities for students as requested
Retail support
Various other clerical support as requested
This position will require occasional travel to our main campus in Bloomington

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED, required
Minimum 2 years experience working in a chiropractic or other healthcare clinic, required
Experience with GE Centricity PMS scheduling system, preferred
Experience in retail and Point of Sales system, preferred
Flexibility in work schedule to ensure adequate coverage of the front desk and patient care
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Enjoys working in fast-paced, team environment
