Under general supervision, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, perform a broad variety of functions within the Payment Systems Department. Responsible for processing daily activity on Fed line Advantage and wires. Processes members electronic fund transfers (EFT's) and paper direct deposits. Preparation of daily cash letter (Check 21) and processing Federal Reserve check exceptions (fmcad11). Efficient and accurate daily operations of check processing and disposition of overdrawn/stop payment member checks. Responsible for processing ATM/Visa Check card charge backs, exception items, redemption points, and ordering of Visa Check Cards. Responsible for researching incoming CHRIS alerts for potential fraudulent plastic card activity.

5% Update, generate, monitor, and complete the daily balancing of the Credit Union's Federal Reserve account. Transfer funds as required. E
5% Maintain and balance a variety of subsidiary general ledger accounts. Charge the member account for penalties, fees and amounts due ensuring that proper documentation, authorization and an acknowledgment are being prepared. E
5% Accurate and timely completion of research and reporting for all Federal Reserve adjustments. E
5% Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments. N
Process accurately and according to operation procedures and timelines: first deposit return checks, ordering Visa Check Cards, Visa charge backs and exception items, negative balance member share accounts, incoming and outgoing Federal Reserve wires, Western Union wires, EFT and paper direct deposits, Federal Reserve adjustments, member checking account clearings and returns and first deposit check images to be transported to Federal Reserve.
Review and balance as directed all assigned general ledger and Federal Reserve accounts.
Provide accurate information to staff members and members (as required).
Accomplish all major duties and responsibilities according to Credit Union policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations.
In an atmosphere of trust, provide professional, prompt, courteous, and friendly service to internal and external members at service levels set by Credit Union.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent and up to one year of similar or related experience. Prefer experience processing wires and ACH items. Must have very strong computer skills such as Word, Excel and the ability to navigate the Internetwith the ability to learn new software; proficient with common office equipment such as, but not limited to 10-key calculator, copier, fax machine, and telephone. Must be able to learn and use the Credit Union's core data processing system for input/output transactions. Such usage includes, but is not limited to, retrieval of information, printing out individual account documents, inputting data, updating information, special access to certain fields, and general maintenance of credit union records. Must be able to perform repetitive work, continuously performing the same work according to set procedures and sequence of pace.
Must be detail oriented and able to perform under stress when confronted with unusual situations in which working speed and sustained attention are critical aspects of the job. Must display good time management and organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able towork a flexible schedule to correspond with variable workload.

8. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal office environment where there is little physical discomfort due to temperature, noise and dust. A staff member may be involved in a potentially hazardous situation (i.e., robbery).
