Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played video game in the world, over 32 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That’s where you come in.

As a Sydney Rioter, you’ll join a small team that shares our focus on player experience, rejection of convention and maniacal passion for gaming. With teams in Community, Esports and Marketing, Riot Games Sydney will create bonzer player experiences in and around League of Legends .

As Payments Contractor (Oceania) , you’ll put your coding skills to work implementing new payment methods for the League of Legends store. You’ll help expand into new territories by integrating Riot’s payment tech with popular regional vendors. A natural collaborator, you’ll help the Fraud and Store teams make sure payment methods are safe and easy to use for players across the world. You’ll also stay connected to the latest industry trends and suggest new technologies that can improve the payment process for players.

You are:
Up to code : you use .NET, C#, JavaScript and CSS to build slick, front end payment applications that integrate with third-parties through a variety of APIs; familiarity with Java, Grails or PHP will put you ahead of the curve

Deft with databases: you know your way around a database, and expertly access and insert information using MSSQL; bonus points for any experience with MySQ

A programming pro : you’re experienced with version control software like Perforce, Subversion and Git, and have an understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and concurrency concepts; you’re probably familiar with a wide variety of core and enterprise design patterns

A motivated problem-solver: you know the most obvious answer isn’t always the best, and look for solutions that holistically improve payment technology; you never shy away from a challenge and view every problem as an opportunity to learn

Positively collaborative : your positive, team-first attitude makes you a welcome addition to any project; you’re comfortable working with people from a variety of disciplines, and easily build relationships with team members

A technical communicator : you clearly communicate through any medium, including email, hallway conversation or Vulcan mind meld; you speak fluent engineer, including all the lingo and jargon it takes to understand technical documentation and talk shop with developers across international boundaries

You will:
Implement the entire payment process, from the player-facing components all the way through to the payment vendor

Provide support for existing payment methods and work with new providers to integrate Riot’s payment systems into their gateway

Collaborate with the Fraud and Store teams to ensure all payment methods are safe and easy to use

Help level up Riot’s payment technology by exploring new tools, languages, frameworks and libraries that might improve the payment process
