About the Job: The Payroll Accountant, AP " Stock Administrator is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for the Company, managing compliance with internal and external requirements and assisting with the accounting of payroll related transactions.

Our ideal candidate will ensure that all company payroll disbursements are processed correctly and efficiently, reconcile all tax filings, and become an expert and super-user with our payroll system, Paychex. This person will also be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Company ’s corporate equity records. In addition, our ideal candidate will support our Accounts Payable Specialist to input data and invoices. Responsibilities: Prepare and process exempt and non-exempt payrolls; including but not limited to, garnishments, benefits, taxes and off-cycle requests while ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Owner of all payroll procedures including analysis " implementation of changes leading to best practice operations. Ensure the payroll processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely. Communicate actively with HR, Finance and other departments to reconcile data sharing and ensure accuracy. Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and PTO.

Efficiently process paycheck inquiries from current and former employees. Generate reports and conduct audits using database reports. Partner with Human Resources on all matters involving employees compensation, benefits and disability payments. Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end journal entries, reconciliation and other reporting processes.

Maintains company stock data, develops reports, and answers inquiries regarding stock plans. Maintain participant data (e.g. new hires, additional grants and terminations, etc.) in the CapMx software system. Create communication and tools to ensure that participants have the information they need to understand Fitbit ’s equity program.

Maintain and update records, forms, documents and processes related to stock plans. Perform routine audits of our stock administration plan and process. Process daily AP invoices and weekly check runs (checks, ACH, wires). Maintain accurate AP records and files to ensure compliance with IRS rules.

Work closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate GL coding and proper proof of receipts. Reconcile AP with vendor AR statement to ensure the proper AP records. Ensure accurate and timely AP invoices and payments are processed and made to our vendors. Requirements: BS/BA in Finance/Accounting or equivalent major.

2-4 years of experience in industry handling Payroll, AP and Stock Options activity preferred. Experience with processing grants, exercises, terminations, repurchased, filing 83(b) election forms, tracking ISO°s, and maintaining promissory note ledger. Experience working with internal and external legal teams in regards to stock administration including preferred stock and warrant financings, stock transfers and mergers " acquisitions. Experience with CapMX a plus.

Must be accurate and detailed oriented, and works quickly with a sense of urgency. Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to changes resulting from a dynamic and growing business environment. Positive attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate, experienced user of Excel, Word, Outlook.

Strong organizational skills.
