a Full-Time Payroll Administrator in Olean, NY !
Ashley Furniture HomeStore, the #1 Selling Furniture Retailer is now hiring a full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm) payroll administrator in Olean, NY . The payroll administrator is responsible for the administration of the company’s time and attendance and payroll systems.
Process weekly payroll & maintain payroll information as required in ADP database:
Point of contact for all employees for time & attendance & payroll questions, changes, etc.
- Data entry for all time & attendance & personnel transactions
- Vendor transactions including health savings account, 401(k) plan
- State & Federal taxes, including year-end reconciliations
Prepare & maintain related payroll records & reports
Generate & post weekly payroll journal entries
Reconcile bank accounts as directed by the Controller
Provide accounting support to finance personnel as needed:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Accounting & reporting Qualifications
Experience with ADP systems software preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, sense of ethics & confidentiality
Excellent oral & written communication
Adaptability, dependability, resourcefulness, critical thinking, attention to detail & organized
Knowledge & experience in multi-state tax & payroll (NY, OH, & PA)
Able to sit & work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
Able to perform general office administrative activities
Able to scoop, kneel, bend at waist & reach on a daily basis
Minimum two year Associates degree in Accounting or related field
Experience working with ADP &/or automated time & attendance systems
Two years minimum experience in the Payroll Administration field, or any similar combination of education & experience
