The payroll administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the US & Canadian Payrolls. Processing semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including keying and auditing the following:

Enter all new hires/terminations and masterfile changes in payroll system. Calculate and input new hire/termination/retro and special pay amounts. Update tax status and deduction information. Process garnishments as received. Process manual checks and stop payments as needed. Review and import data from time and attendance system to ensure accurate transfer of hours worked as well as paid and unpaid time off hours. Maintain PTO and reporting structure in time and attendance system and reset employee passwords as necessary.

Create and run monthly payroll and ad hoc reports as needed.

Organize and maintain confidentiality of on-site and off-site payroll files.

Liaise with other departments and provide prompt, high quality customer service.

Interact with external vendors as needed to resolve issues.

Answer inquires from employees, solve problems, enforce payroll policies.

Maintain and monitor compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Prepare month end journal entries and related supporting schedules.

Compile, adjust and evaluate various accruals to ensure their accuracy.

Preparing monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and understanding what transactions occurred each period.

Reviews accounts payable distribution reports for accuracy and recording of expenses in proper periods.

Review of expense reports for compliance with policy and final approval for payment.

Required Experience

2-5 years payroll experience with complex, multi-state payrolls

Experience with ADP payroll systems (ADP PCPW, ReportSmith, ezLabor, PayExpert), as well as strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and Outlook).

Experience with HR/Payroll Implementations a plus.

CPP certification a plus
