In business for over 25 years, WILLCARE operates Certified/Medicare, Long Term Care, Licensed/Private Duty, as well as non-medical services and supplemental staffing agencies. We provide qualified skilled and non-skilled services focusing on preventative, rehabilitative and therapeutic care to our clients in all applicable settings. PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR JOB SUMMARY

Ensures the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll for assigned companies in accordance with all federal, state and local standards.

PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll consistent with federal, state and local wage and hour laws.

Maintain employee payroll data including but not limited to new hire processing and termination, as well as changes in status and rate of pay.

Enter, maintain, track and process wage garnishments, child support deductions, benefit deductions and taxes.

Import time and attendance transactions from applicable source (ie. Homecare Homebase system and company intranet) into Great Plains system for payroll processing. Review for accuracy and completeness prior to import.

Review employee Paid Time Off (PTO) balance report to ensure availability and eligibility prior to processing.

Review active employee list and compare to employees with hours and visits to ensure hours for all active staff. Follow up with branch on discrepancies/active no hours to reduce errors.

Communicate with a variety of internal and external parties (city / state / federal agencies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate processing of payroll deductions/garnishments.

Process all new hire reporting with appropriate state entity, within in the timeframe required.

Investigate and resolve employee inquires regarding questions and discrepancies.

Process wage employment verifications and wage verification requests.

Process retro pay calculations and/or verify that retro pay calculations were computed accurately.

Prepare manual checks on an as needed and as approved basis.

Maintain a wide variety of payroll information, files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance. This includes, but is not limited, to W2s, wage garnishment and child support orders, biweekly payroll reports, etc.

Distribute paychecks through postal mail and/or FedEx to ensure delivery by pay day (Friday).

Run reports as requested, or as needed for payroll processing.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in Accounting or related field; OR, High School Degree and 3-4 years experience in payroll.

Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations as they relate to payroll.

Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.

Strong attention to detail.

Experience with an automated payroll system (such as Great Plains, ADP, Paychex) required.

Experience with MS Excel strongly preferred.
