Job Description:
This position assists in maintaining, analyzing and
reporting payroll information. The position assists in
coordinating payroll activities and maintaining internal
controls for payroll processes and systems. This
position requires some independent judgment and action
within established guidelines and must maintain a high
degree of confidentiality, integrity, and work ethics.
  • Completes the payroll payment process, time and
leave control systems, and payment / filing for
payroll tax obligations for assigned payrolls.
  • Coordinate, prepare and publish internal/external
reports and replies to requests for payroll
information received from finance, accounting, tax,
senior management, employees, taxing jurisdictions,
HR business partners, compensation, and outside
agencies.
  • Monitors and maintains standards and procedures for
providing payroll data for accounting and reporting.
  • Ensures adequate internal controls are in place to
provide reasonable assurances of accurate and timely
payroll payments and related records and prudent
payroll management practices.
  • Responsible for reviewing and responding to audit
issues for payroll, both internal and external. This
may include working with Payroll Analyst and/or
Manager to review, update, and test internal audit
maps.
  • Utilizes thorough knowledge of the principles and
practices of general and payroll accounting and
their application to financial reporting.
  • Provides compliance support for US laws,
regulations, and guidelines covering relevant
working payroll environment for WFS.
  • Establish and maintain effective working
relationships with employee population to respond to
payroll inquiries as may be needed, as well as with
the WFS financial management team, governmental
agencies, internal / external auditors, and HR
business partners.
  • Support payroll departmental initiatives as required
(e.g., acquisitions, payroll migrations and expat
admin). This includes the continual review of our
processes to ensure queries / responses are dealt
with in a swift and efficient manner.
  • Prepare General Ledger posting details for
Accounting. Maintain G/L set up information for all
earnings, deductions, & cost centers in ADP software
& G/L Interface. Reconcile quarterly wage reports &
validate annual W2 data.

Job Requirements:
